“La Mota”, S.C.A.L. of Transports and Services, was founded in in September 1979, although it had been operating in the transport activity under the name “Abonos Montañés”.
In a brave decision the Associated Labour Cooperative Society model was adopted towards its development.

In 1981 the first International Transport services were carried out, being pioners in the Jaén province.
In this period of time the number of vehicles has been increased from 11 to 47, making up, with 25 more from our associated partners, one of the most important fleets in the province and in Andalucía.
In 1992 giving a new impulse to our development, TRANSMOTA, S.L. society is created with a broader social purpose, involving Warehousing and Logistics services, thus, a 3400 sq. metres warehousing facility was built in Alcalá la Real, furthermore we decided to expand our views and a new comercial branch was open in Barcelona.
Without any doubt all this history could not had been possible without our costumers support, mainly CONDEPOLS, DERPROSA, ELDON ESPAÑA, CAIBA, PORTINOX, SMURFIT, MOBILIARIO CORBAÑO, VALEO, among others, with their continous demands making our goals allways more ambitious and higher. In this way and supporting the quality of our service, we achieved the ISO 9002 Certificate by BUREAU VERITAS in 1998.
Nowadays the Group is based upon the logistic path that will take shape in the new “intelligent building” to be built in the Retamar Industrial State in Alcalá la Real. Turnover in the year 2000 reached the amount of 1700 millions of pesetas (Ptas 1700 millions), 10000 merchandise deliveries were performed all over Europe.
	All this success will not be possible without the support of our material equipment and our human resources, managed by our president, Pedro Gutiérrez Ramírez, who is an highly reputated person among his sector ´s colleages.
